Using visual material sourced from the Russian State Film Archives, a five-screen film installation in the disused Nicholls and Clark Building, London E1 was held in May 2008. Shown across five centrally hung screens, The Car explored the notion of longing and the means by which perception is influenced by one's desires. Hovering between prose and poetry, past and future, The Car invites the viewer to move through the space and experience the intricate layers of narrative and film.
